Eligibility
Who Can Join
The association may have up to 400 regular members, in addition to special membership categories.
Any woman amateur golfer who is at least 50 years old, is a legal South Carolina resident for at least six months each year, and holds a current USGA Handicap Card is eligible, subject to the Membership Committee procedure.
Six-month residents may play in one-day tournaments. Only full-time South Carolina residents may play in the Championship Tournament.
Tournament Participation
Important Policies
- Play in at least one regular tournament to qualify for the Championship Tournament.
- Cancel at least eight days before an event for a refund, less a 7% cancellation fee.
- No refund is available within seven days of an event.
- A full refund is issued if the tournament is cancelled due to weather or circumstances outside the association’s control.
Membership Categories

Super Seniors
Members age 70 and older. Pay annual dues; tournament participation requirements do not apply.
Legends
Members age 80 and older. Pay annual dues; tournament participation requirements do not apply.
Associate Members
Members in good standing for five years who can no longer compete. Non-voting social members who pay annual dues.
Honorary Members
Former regular members who are members of the South Carolina Golf Hall of Fame. No dues or participation requirements.
Past Presidents
Members who have served as SCSWGA president. Pay annual dues and receive automatic entry into tournaments.
