About the Award
A Legacy of Dedication
Each year the Mary Lou Crowder Trophy is presented to a member who has contributed to the association through the years. The award reflects Mary Lou Crowder’s lifelong dedication to golf and to the South Carolina Senior Women’s Golf Association.
Mary Lou was a champion at Columbia Country Club, the Women’s City Golf Championship of the Greater Columbia Area, and a three-time SCSWGA champion. She served as president of the association from 1994–1996 and worked tirelessly to promote women’s golf.
Members are encouraged to nominate deserving individuals. Current executive officers are not eligible while serving, and the award may be presented to a member only once.
